Luxe Rachel Zoe and K-Dash Collection on QVC

I'm sure I am late to the QVC game but I'm so enthusiastic about it!  I saw Rachel Zoe promoting her line on the QVC channel and decided to check it out online to see if her stuff was carried in plus sizes.  Surprise surprise, it was!  I was so excited to see her awesome faux fur vests were available in plus sizes.  She, of course, has many more awesome pieces but the faux fur vest is what caught my eye.  While checking out the Luxe Rachel Zoe Collection I also discovered another line by the famous Kardashians.  It is called K-Dash and their items are also available in plus sizes! Can I get a what what?!  Good thing their items are kind of pricey for my liking, if not, I would of ordered the whole damn collection!  So go check it out and let me know if you purchase anything. Happy Shopping!

-Kardashian Kollection Kritique-

For starters, I'm aware that "critique" is misspelled but, for the sake of a catchy title, just ignore it! After anxiously and excitedly waiting for the Kardashian Kollection it is finally here and I must add, it didn't disappoint. The collection includes some awesome pieces, however, they advertise it as an "affordable" brand and I really don't think the average American will find a blouse for $100, affordable. I'm not saying it isn't worth it, because it is, but I don't think the Sears demographic will agree with the prices. The collection itself is not very colorful, you can expect lots of black, grey, red and of course purple. The accessories were not as amazing as I expected. I would stick to the clothes. The handbags to me, seemed a little cheap looking. I was really sad when I saw the accessories. I was expecting greatness and got nothing. However, the clothes are beautiful, for example the gorgeous jumper pictured here that I fell in love with, too bad the Kardashians did not think about us plus size women. Maybe later down the road they will add a plus size line. That would be awesome! I would be all over that. Please share with me what you think. If you don't have a chance to go to Sears then at least check them out online. I noticed that some of the stuff online is marked down, so maybe next time around they will know to price things a little lower. Happy Shopping! ;)

-Charming Charlie-

I'm so excited about this post! I went shopping yesterday and stopped by "Charming Charlie", located at Uptown Village in Cedar Hill. They have many more locations, this just so happened to be the one I came across. So I walk into the store and immediately my soul is filled with excitement! Not only is this place filled with color, great accessories and cute clothing pieces. But it is also extremely cheap! Considering the quality of the items they sell. I bought the flats pictured above for $19.95! How awesome is that?! I was surprised to find a pair of flats that were fashionable and made of great canvas fabric for twenty bucks! Usually you could find a pair like this at Bakers or other retailers for $40 plus! The mustard color is great for the upcoming season. I can't wait to wear them and show you guys how awesome they look. As soon as I purchased them, I turned to my friend and said "These are so going on my blog!" Lol. It would be a crime to not share such a bargain with you guys. Hope you decide to visit the store and come out with the same feeling I did. Let me know if you do and share what you bought!

"Big Sexy"

Finally! A new show that actually shows plus size women living a happy, fulfilling and non suicidal life! TLC's new show "Big Sexy" aired today and was a breath of fresh air. I'm sure my fellow plus size ladies would agree with this one. Usually we are portrayed as unhappy, friendless, lifeless women who envy our skinny counterpart. It's time for people to realize that not every fat girl hates herself. The shows follows 5 plus size women as they take over the streets of NYC. They shop, date and work the runways! You can catch it Tuesdays at 9:00pm cst. And just remember "Once you go big, you never go twig!"

-TEXAS THEATRE-

If you're a history freak, like myself, then you will love this! A friend sent me a link for a "deal" of the day for The Texas Theatre. If you're looking for something new and interesting to do in Dallas, then I suggest you click on this link: http://livingsocial.com/deals/20883?ref=personalized-link-box-5471847&rpi=5471847 It will lead you to the deal I got which is $10 for 2 movie tickets, 2 drinks, and a Large Popcorn. If that doesn't convince you than maybe this will: The theatre was originally opened in 1931 in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas, TX and was the theatre where Oswald (JFK's shooter) was captured after the assassination. Obviously, JFK wasn't assassinated during the 1930's but I just thought it was awesome that the theatre is still there after so many decades! Can you imagine how many people, from different eras, have visited this place? It's just incredible to me. And to be the location where one of the most controversial murderers was captured? Just awesome. I'm a dork, I know! But I'm a sucker for this kind of stuff! I'm very excited to visit the theatre and can't believe it's been so close to me this whole time. Hope you guys at least take a peak, just to learn a little more about our area. =]

Perfect Piece for Spring!

I came across this dress while doing some online shopping and fell in love! This is the perfect example of a spring dress! Wear it to church, a picnic, date or just for fun! Although the pattern and colors can be a little itimidating, it is super easy to acessorize. Add some nude pumps and a blazer for a put together look, or throw on a leather motorcycle jacket with some booties for an edgy look! Don't forget to play around with the red lipstick and a messy bun!

Boom Boom Pow!

I don't know about you guys...but I am OBSESSED with anything military right now! Not camouflage; military. Big difference. I love it because it is so versitile. Throw on some booties, a sequence top, followed by a military inspired coat and you're ready for a night out in the town. Or switch out the booties for a cute pair of flats, loose boyfriend t-shirt and the jacket and you're ready for lunch! At first sight one might not envision the fabulousity of this item, but once you get your creative juices flowing there is no telling what you might have hidden in your fashion arsenal! I'm totally in love with this Royal Blue Burberry piece. Enjoy!
