-TEXAS THEATRE-

If you're a history freak, like myself, then you will love this! A friend sent me a link for a "deal" of the day for The Texas Theatre. If you're looking for something new and interesting to do in Dallas, then I suggest you click on this link: http://livingsocial.com/deals/20883?ref=personalized-link-box-5471847&rpi=5471847 It will lead you to the deal I got which is $10 for 2 movie tickets, 2 drinks, and a Large Popcorn. If that doesn't convince you than maybe this will: The theatre was originally opened in 1931 in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas, TX and was the theatre where Oswald (JFK's shooter) was captured after the assassination. Obviously, JFK wasn't assassinated during the 1930's but I just thought it was awesome that the theatre is still there after so many decades! Can you imagine how many people, from different eras, have visited this place? It's just incredible to me. And to be the location where one of the most controversial murderers was captured? Just awesome. I'm a dork, I know! But I'm a sucker for this kind of stuff! I'm very excited to visit the theatre and can't believe it's been so close to me this whole time. Hope you guys at least take a peak, just to learn a little more about our area. =]
